When the Cat's away, the Mice will play.
While the Year 4s were away, the Year 3s had a play. The kids in Room 10 for maths made a pyramid and learnt more about ARRAYS and MULTIPLICATION.
We started with a 9 X 9 base, then added an 8 X 8 layer, followed by 7 X 7, until finally we placed a single block on top.
We talked about squaring numbers and tried to remember some of them.
Wow you are clever making those pyramids! I can tell you had lots of fun and learned a lot too.

Isn't it cool that if you subtract each of the totals from each other starting from the '1' they are all of the 'odd' numbers! (1,3,5,7,9,...)
