BALLOON MAGIC

We've begun to look closely at solids, liquids and gases.  We've learnt that everything is made up of tiny little lumps called MOLECULES.  During the next 5 weeks we will be experimenting with ways to upset these little lumps and change SOLIDS to LIQUIDS, LIQUIDS to GAS and vice versa.

Our first experiment was quite exciting; we inflated up a balloon using vinegar and baking soda.  The baking soda reacted with the vinegar, releasing carbon dioxide into the balloon.
HERE WE ARE.

  1. What fantastic science happening in Room 10!
I showed your work to scientists at Victoria University and they say "Room 10 rock at science!
Keep on experimenting and observing and talking about what you see"
